Thalia Hendrick Week 14
For my last blog I decided to choose something more close to home. I have always had a fascination for nature and have always loved seeing blooms from outside my window. This picture was taken last week when I was home writing a paper. I noticed that the sun was setting and a beautiful golden wash was placed over a rose bush I had outside. Since the curtains inside my home were closed, there was no light being let into the room. I thought this image in particular was beautiful because of the contrast of light and darkness in the image. Although there is no light inside the room, it is still being bounced off of the brick wall and other things outside to illuminate part of the doorway and curtain. The blue sky is a beautiful gradient of blue and adds liveliness to the image. I also thought the red of the roses added character to the golden amber and greens in the picture.
