Jesus Cambero-Elias Blog Post Week #4
For this weeks posts, I decided not to focus much about a lighting aspect since I thought how a shadow of an object is fascinating. I was parked at a Chase bank waiting for my girlfriend to cash in her check. While waiting, I saw that there was a shadow on the floor and it reminded me how this can be a gobo as a special effect. I felt the shadow of this tree was a symbol or a representation of the crazy weather we have been getting recently. That even though some people may hate the obstacles that this rain has been giving them, it has been super helpful for the environment and the plants, such as this tree. This shadow can have different meanings given on the environment. When I took this photo, it was all sunny and amazing to be outside. However, let's say that I took this picture later on at night when its dark. The parking lot light would be shining on the tree, but that would be the only source of light in the parking lot. If I was there alone, I would be more on edge to be there. Plus, the shadow of the tree will probably creep me out and make me feel as if I am in a scary movie.

Such a crisp shadow! You can see so many details of the leaves and branches! Great commentary, and yes! The difference in the source creating the shadow is of key importance! It would change the mood completely! (and the rain has been so good for us!) Nice work!
