Arturo Gonzalez Week 2 Light Post

I was in class working on assignments when I noticed how the sun was coming in through the blinds on this rainy cloudy day. Between the gaps, the sun gave off an interesting light where the light was attempting to creep in. Behind the blinds, the glass windows are another layer the sun is going through. The light is separated into horizontal lines where if you see close in front the lines appear close together and from away they look more separated. To me I imagined an interesting light backdropped this way while performers are in the front. This would be an interesting light design to replicate and play around with on stage.

  1. This is FANTASTIC! LOVE the composition of this photo too, with the directionality of the lines creating this eerie depth, great work! Love that gray diffused sunlight glow through the blinds, it's very film noir! Nice observations!
