Pigeons are basically rats of the sky, and as much as they are entitled fools, they are a part of our worlds ecosystem and rely heavily on good will of tourists. This photo tries to capture that, the pigeons are on the hunt, prowling in the shady walks of the Notre Dame and looking for their next handout. The lighting and color bring your eyes up to the top of the image, but the focus pulls you back down, and a flickering between the two is the illusion I hope to cast with this image.

  1. Remember these blogs are supposed to be taken in present day. Were you at Notre Dame last week? The point is to get you to see light around you right now, during the course of this class. The differences in shadow vs light and foreground vs background is interesting though!
