Kane Eddington week 10

On this warm beautiful Saturday I decided to do some yard work and after I was done watering the lawn I noticed the interesting shadows my magnolia tree was making on the grass. I really like this picture due to how vibrant of a green the grass is compared to the muted and almost black the shadows make the other splotches of grass. What you really can’t  see in this picture is the water droplets that were reflecting the light from the sun. Overall this picture is pretty relaxing and calming to me and I think it’s cool how all of the shadows are connected to each other in some way

  1. This is a relaxing photo. Given on the fact that the grass is so dark green, the shadows give it a gobo effect. It does give a good resemblance of one. All coming from just leaves that are on a tree!

  2. Best sunlight through tree photo I've ever seen! Such a perfectly crisp image of shadow and light! Just like a gobo! Very relaxing! (and how do you have time for yard work!?) Nice commentary and eye for light!

  3. I love this picture a lot! The amount of patterns that the trees created is just wonderful. I also love the coloring of the shadowed grass. It really reminds me of gobos that I used for my Halloween project. Super relaxing picture...I have to admit! :)
