Christina Antolin Week 8

This picture was taken in the hallway of my home. As I was walking to my room I noticed how nice the light from the spring door was hitting the wall. I also noticed that the wall looked like it had a hue of blue washing over it despite the wall being a peach/brown color . That is when I noticed that that blue was coming from the television that  my dad had on in the living room. I found the lighting in this image captivating because there were so many factors to it in such a small space. The metal design of the spring door worked as a gobo would on a fixture creating a pattern on  the wall and painting. The orange paint on the art piece is emphasized by the light of the sunlight coming in. The sun was actually setting around the time I took this picture so the angles were shaped by the suns location as well as the door.  Since the sun was setting the color of the light from the sun was more amber which I think helped create a warm feeling. The amber with the contrast of the blue hue really merged nicely making a beautiful source of light.

  1. ahhh Christina! Such a great photo and really detailed, spot on commentary! You're right! So much going on in this photo and you touched on so much of it! Love that golden hour sunset color tone to this photo, really picking up the rich red/orange in the picture. Love the color mixing of the manmade television light and the setting sun. And that soft texture adding some detail to the whole thing...really great job!
