Donovan Dec Week 4
This is a picture of light coming in through mini blinds I have on the windows in my room. There is a single lamp on the apartments across my street that comes on every night, shines its light through these blinds and lays a nice white line of light directly onto my eyeballs. I hope I can take a better photo and upload it tonight since this photo doesn't really show the line of light. Due to the way the light and blinds are set up, there is always a single line of light directly across my bed every night. It's probably not always exactly in my eyesight, but I can definitely remember all the times when It has happened. I'm sure that's confirmation bias but whatever. When I'm facing the other direction my eyes dilate, and then I turn over and get blinded. Its perfectly lined up. This light has purpose, it helps people walk up the stairs to their apartment, so its not like I can be mad about it. Maybe I should upgrade blinds.

I'll reupload a better picture when its darker.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture and commentary! Blinds are such an iconic way of shaping and letting light in, so iconic that it's become the whole symbol for the genre of noir. It's striking, bold and memorable! Nice shot!
