Thalia Hendricks - Week 4
This image was taken in my living room while I was watching Project Runway. This specific spot in the room caught my eye since it was right besides a lamp I have on the wall. It was interesting because in person it has a more golden beige color and stood out to me. This specific area reminded me of the side lights in class and how we spoke about it being uplifting and light. With the drape, it highlights the thickness and weight of it which I thought was interesting. The shadows show exactly how many curves and creases it has compared to a softer material that would flow elegantly. You can also tell the dimension of the curtain since the light is also traveling behind it and is expressing a shadow on the ceiling. I thought it was interesting how even in a small part of my life, lighting and shadows play a major part on my perspective and perception of objects around me.

ooooh love the simplicity of this source of light treating different materials and making such a statement! Love the way the folds in the fabric are lit differently, shadows playing a key roll in showing depth! Even the streak on the wall casting shadows above is neat! Very sharp shadows on two different angles of surfaces. Nice work!
