While walking along the beach near the Santa Monica Pier, I stumbled on a house with very interesting architecture that reflected the sky and surrounding area in a really pretty way! In this photo you can see the sky and a building across the street being bent and thrown back against the building in certain locations. Since the blue tinted windows don't reflect the light as well as the mirrors it adds a contrast that I personally find really aesthetically pleasing. It's fascinating to look at the way the different materials reflect light. The choice they made to alternate between the different reflective materials leads to a striking result. The geometric walls and trim surrounding the windows make the scene seem even more abstract. What on some buildings could look harsh and distracting, looks modern and elegant. They took a chance with a risky material and it paid off stunningly. It's chaotic in a clean and controlled way that inspires me to want to play around with reflections more in theatre lighting. This building makes me feel like making bold choices!

ooooh what a great playground of surfaces and textures and shapes for light! Love those mirrors and the contrast between solid and see-through materials! Very artistic and architectural while being light and airy! Nice!
