Arturo Gonzalez Week 4
So I was in my photography class and some of our assignment was playing with lights. And I found it so interesting how it tied in with our lighting class. I was able to understand lighting people with natural and artificial light, which I found important to what I want to do with lighting design on stage. I was interested in seeing how the variation of lights was caught on camera. Some classmates had set up two lights and had a person sit in-between. What was interesting about this lighting example was the different sources of lights. Behind the subject, there was one light that was warmer so it was kind of yellow, and on her lap, there was a light wand and with a blue and red gel in front of it, it made this specific color. The light that is coming from the back looks soft how it creates a halo outlining her head. And then there is the use of no light around which made the room dark. The two lights and their positioning made for a really wonderful photo. Not sure if this is up to the class requirements for the blog post, but it inspired me on what I want to create for our Lighting Design class. Enjoy😄 I am excited to see what we create, yay.

This is fantastic! I love when worlds collide! The principles of good lighting design apply to all fields! It's great to see the contrasting colors and different angles produce a mood and three dimensionality in a photo too! Nice!
